The Toyota Rav4 is a compact SUV. The Chevrolet Captiva is medium size. The Captiva is bigger than the Toyota so the Chevrolet is roomier for both passengers and luggage. As you get more car for your money the Captiva is better value for money.

The Rav4 is a best seller with high awareness and reputation.  This helps sales. Although we could say the Chevrolet is more exclusive.

The Rav4 has better fuel economy on a run due to it having a 6-speed gearbox.

There is an immaterial difference in performance. Safety and comfort features are very similar.

*The above fuel consumption and emission data was copied from tables compiled by the VCA www.vca.gov.uk . Every effort has been made to ensure accuracy. The VCA and I cannot accept liability for its accuracy. Users who rely entirely on the information do so at their own risk. Wheel size and the number of driven wheels will make a difference to the above figures.

Cars with CO2 emissions 186-225g/km are Band F and pay £210 for 12 months vehicle excise duty. 226g/km and above are Band G and pay £400.00 for their road fund licence. 21/07/2008.

The VCA calculated the fuel cost of driving 12,000 miles using the combined fuel consumption figure and an average fuel price of 113p/litre for diesel

Sincerely
Ralph Spence
